Firefighting
Fire pump control panels built for the moment failure isn't an option.
For firefighting and life-safety systems, GATA designs and builds fire pump control panels for electric, diesel, and jockey pumps — engineered to NFPA 20 logic, fully tested, and ready to commission. We customize the whole stack: control hardware, embedded firmware, and the software that runs it, then connect every panel to the GATE platform so a building's most critical pump never sits unmonitored.
Challenges we solve
A pump that must start on the worst day of the building's life
A fire pump may sit idle for months, then must reach rated flow and pressure within seconds when a sprinkler opens. Hidden faults — a seized contactor, a dead start battery, a tripped breaker — only surface during the emergency, when it is far too late to discover them.
Strict standards leave no room for a non-compliant build
Fire pump controllers must follow NFPA 20 sequencing — minimum run timers, automatic and manual start, weekly self-test, alarm and transfer logic. A panel that deviates fails inspection, delays building handover, and exposes the contractor to liability on a life-safety system.
Diesel, electric, and jockey pumps that must work as one system
A real installation rarely has one pump. The jockey holds line pressure, the electric duty pump answers a demand, and the diesel pump stands by for power loss. Mismatched controllers, clashing pressure setpoints, and no shared visibility turn a coordinated set into a source of nuisance starts and blind spots.
Our approach
NFPA 20 fire pump control panels, built and tested in-house
We design and build electric and diesel fire pump controllers plus jockey pump panels to your exact pump curve, voltage, phase, and starter — across brands. Each build carries NFPA 20 start, run, and test sequencing, alarm contacts, and pressure-recording logic, and ships fully wired and routine-tested. You can configure and price the panel online before you commit.
Custom firmware for start logic, self-test, and transfer
Because we write the embedded firmware ourselves, the controller does exactly what your AHJ and pump set require: pressure-actuated and remote starts, anti-recycle and minimum-run timers, automatic weekly test runs, and bus-tie or generator transfer. No locked black box — the start sequence is engineered to your specification, not a fixed catalog part.
Always-on monitoring through the GATE platform
Every fire pump panel can stream live data to GATE — GATA's IoT, cloud, and AI platform. You see pump status, pressure, run hours, battery health, and every weekly self-test from one dashboard, with instant alerts the moment a controller reports a fault or a missed test. The Nebras AI Model learns the pump's normal signature and flags developing trouble before the next inspection — or the next fire.
What you get
- Pass NFPA 20 inspection and hand the building over on schedule, with a panel built and routine-tested to the sequence the AHJ expects.
- Catch a dead start battery, a stuck contactor, or a missed weekly test long before the pump is actually called to run.
- Coordinate jockey, electric, and diesel pumps with matched setpoints and one shared view — fewer nuisance starts, no blind spots.
- Replace clipboard test logs with automatic records and remote visibility across every site you maintain.
